Fancy a light cardigan with a pretty lace yoke for spring and summer? Then Ipswich is for you! It is knit in Mantra Stonewash, a silk yarn with a speckled surface that gives it a casual style. The sweater is knit from the top down in one piece, with short row shaping for the yoke. The lace work is done following a chart. The body and sleeves are stockinette with ribbed cuffs and hem. Stitches are held temporarily for the sleeves while the body is finished and then worked downward in the round to the cuffs. Stitches are picked up and worked in rib for the button bands. The recommended ease is 2-4". Finished chest measurements are 36.5 (41, 45.5, 49.75, 54, 58.5, 63, 67)" and finished lengths are 21 (21, 21.5, 22, 22, 22.5, 23, 23)". Berroco has given this Amy Christoffers design a difficulty rating of intermediate.
Mantra Stonewash is a soft silk yarn with beautiful drape and a distinctive "stonewash" look. It has a smooth surface that shows off lace stitches like in Ipswich. It is a DK-weight yarn and is knit at 5.5 stitches per inch in stockinette in this design.
