Introduction to Knitting for Kids

June 29 (Mon.) 10 a.m.-Noon 1 day

Learn the basics of knitting for kids with this simple butterfly. You will learn about casting on stitches, the knit stitch, and how to do a simple increase. Make 1 or 100 to decorate your room or give to friends. You will need 1-2 colors of a worsted weight yarn and single point size US 6 needles. Recommended ages 8 & up. By Debbie Matthias.

You can purchase your class supplies online and have it held at the store to pick up on the first day of class. Just be sure to mention it is for class and the shipping fees will be removed.

Class supply list:

• 1 skein each of 2 colors in a worstedweight yarn like Plymouth Encore
• Single point US 6 needles (we recommend bamboo for beginners)
• Blunt tapestry needle, measuring tape & scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2-hours. Pay stations are located at the stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free.
