This knitting class is suitable for knitters who have been actively knitting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to knit, but it has been a few years since you picked up needles and yarn, please take the Introduction to Knitting class first.

Introduction to Duplicate Stitch

July 8 (Wed.) 6-8 p.m. 1 day

Looking to add details to a stockinette piece but not sure about complex colorwork? Give duplicate stitch a try! Bring a 4x4" knitted stockinette swatch and another yarn of the same weight in a contrasting color, then design and stitch your own duplicate stitch pattern. By the end of this class, you'll be ready to embellish your precious knitwear all by yourself. By Magnus Primm.

You can purchase your class supplies online and have it held at the store to pick up on the first day of class. Just be sure to mention it is for class and the shipping fees will be removed.

Class supply list:

• Bring a 4x4" knitted stockinette swatch and another yarn of the same weight in a contrasting color. Worsted weight or sport weight yarns are recommended.
• Blunt tapestry needle
• Scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
