The intermediate rigid heddle weaving classes ar designed for those who can independently thread a rigid heddle loom and follow a weaving draft. Many of these classes will require that you bring your own rigid heddle loom.

BROOK'S BOUQUET SCARF

You will create a beautiful lace scarf using Brook's Bouquet. Hand-manipulated weave techniques allow you to create accents, unique borders, or in this case, lace effects! You will learn how to wrap weft yarn to form bouquets of warp threads between picks of plain weave. You will need to bring a pre-warped rigid heddle loom that is at least 8" wide with a 12.5-or 12-dent heddle. Materials not included. You can choose between Ad Astra, a 4/2 organic cotton, or Cody, a 100% wool yarn spun, and dyed in Wyoming. By Olivia Mills.

DOUBLE WEAVE ON THE RIGID HEDDLE LOOM

Don't feel constrained by the size of your rigid heddle loom. In this class you will learn to use two heddles to create double the width fabric on your rigid heddle loom. Handy for creating throws and shawls! You can bring any size rigid heddle loom to class, but it must be equipped for 2-heddle weaving. You will use two 7.5- or 8- dent heddles. CLASPED WEAVE ON A RIGID HEDDLE LOOM

Create striking color shifts and painterly effects in your fabric by interlocking yarns while threading and weaving on your rigid heddle loom. You will learn how to plan a project with this technique and design a unique pattern to weave a scarf, shawl, or runner in class. We recommend you use Coast, a cotton/wool blend yarn. PLANNING YOUR WEAVING PROJECT

If you feel lost when starting a new project, then this class is for you. You will be able to look at books or patterns and get inspiration for your next project.
