Intermediate Kids' Crochet-- County Fair Chicken

Have you been following videos online for crochet projects but still feeling a little stumped on how to follow a written pattern? Make yourself a flock of chickens and learn to read written crochet patterns. You will learn seamless color changes, turning a circle into a square shape, how to seam crochet, and add decorative features onto a complete crochet piece. This class is for kids who can make basic crochet stitches without assistance and are ready to learn more. Recommended ages 8 and up. By Rebecca Cook.

You can purchase your class supplies online and have it held at the store to pick up on the first day of class. Just be sure to mention it is for class and the shipping fees will be removed.

Class supply list:

• Download and print the County Fair Chicken pattern ($2)
• Five colors of Happy Cotton by Sirdar
• 3.5 mm or US E crochet hook
• Locking stitch markers
• 15 mm safety eyes
• Polyfill or fabric and dry beans for filling
• Blunt tapestry needle scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2-hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
