Intermediate Crochet for Kids: Beaded Fidget Hedgehog

July 12 (Sun.) 1:30-3:30 p.m. 2 weeks

Learn some of the basics of amigurumi and how to read an amigurumi pattern while making a pocket-sized fidget. This pattern mostly uses single crochet but also has a cluster stitch and pony beads that are crocheted into the project. We will cover how to add beads using a crochet hook. We will supply the beads. Recommended age: 8 and up. By Rebecca Cook.

You can purchase your class supplies online and have it held at the store to pick up on the first day of class. Just be sure to mention it is for class and the shipping fees will be removed.

Class supply list:

• 1 skein of a worsted weight yarn like Encore Plymouth Encore
• Crochet hook F (3.75 mm) (or smaller to fit into bead)
• Pony beads (68 total) or use the provided ones from your instructor
• small amount of fiberfill
• 6 mm safety eyes (optional)
• Blunt tapestry needle, measuring tape & scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2-hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
