In the Loop: Radical Potholder Patterns
by Deborah Jean Cohen
The potholder loom is the introduction that many people had to weaving as a child. But it doesn't need to stop there. Very sophisticated color and patterning combinations are possible with this simple, low-cost loom. Once finished, the squares can be used as potholders or trivets but can also be sewn together to make larger pieces. Cohen's book provides large, easy-to-read drafts for 75 designs as well as instructions for creating your own.
Contents:
This book can be used as a pattern library but you can also learn from it how to convert a standard weaving draft to a potholder draft and how to recreate a potholder that you've seen. Each of the drafts has one or more color photographs of the design in finished form. Instruction and inspiration combined!
