Hemp is beautiful fiber that looks and feels like it is halfway between linen and cotton. It is a bast fiber, like linen, so it is highly absorbent and breathable, but with a softer hand that is more like cotton. It has impressive environmental credentials, too. Hemp requires much less land and water than is needed to grow the same amount of cotton and it can be done with few or no pesticides or herbicides.

This hemp is available in its natural light beige color or in an ivory color called "half-bleached". It has a slight sheen similar to linen. It would make beautiful table linens, towels, napkins, and fabric for clothing. Hemp can be dyed using Procion. Like the look and feel but want something with a little more heft?
