A lacey overall pattern and fitted shape make Haverhill perfect for summer. The pattern stitch is worked on both the front and back and is a 12-stitch, 8-row repeat. The front and back are worked separately and then seamed. Then a simple edging of single and reverse single crochet is worked at the neckline, armholes, and hem. Finished chest measurements are 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64)" and finished lengths are 22 (22.25, 22.5, 23, 23.5, 24, 24.5, 24.75, 25)". Berroco has given this Alison Green design a difficulty rating of intermediate.
Haverhill uses Berroco's thick-and-thin spring and summer yarn called Quinoa. It is 91% cotton and 9% nylon, with irregular slubs that create a casual, pebbly texture. It is a DK weight yarn but it is knit here at a slightly looser gauge of 5 stitches per inch in stockinette. Quinoa can be machine washed on gentle and dried flat.
The kit includes the pattern and the yarn. For this project you will also need:
- single point needles in US size 7 OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
