This sweater is a knockout! Geiger will put your knitting skills to the test and teach you a few new techniques. The elaborate cabling is worked from multiple large charts and emphasizes the flattering shaping at the waist. The back, fronts, and set-in sleeves are worked flat separately and then joined. Stitches are picked up and worked for the button bands and finish with a striking picot bind-off. Geiger was designed to be fitted, with 0-2" of ease. Finished chest measurements are 33.5 (36.5, 40.5, 45, 49, 53)" with finished lengths of 27.75 (28.25, 29, 30.75, 31.5, 32.25)". The sweater can be hand washed and dried flat. Brooklyn Tweed has assigned this Norah Gaughan design a skill level rating of 5 out of 5 (advanced).
Geiger uses Arbor, by Brooklyn Tweed. This is a DK weight yarn that is made using three worsted-spun plies of US-raised Targhee wool that are firmly twisted together, creating a smooth yarn with excellent stitch definition. It is ideal for the precise cabling in Geiger!
