Let a simple structure show off a dynamic yarn! We used a Harrisville's 100% wool Shetland for the warp in a rosepath threading with an easy treadling sequence that makes a zig-zag pattern. The show-stopper, though, is the weft. Zauberball is a blend of 75% wool and 25% nylon with a dramatic, extended color repeat. The color gradually changes along the length of the scarf for a one-of-a-kind piece. The finished scarf is approximately 5.5" x 72" . It can be hand washed and dried flat.
You will need:
- 6" weaving width
- 4 harnesses
- 12-dent reed
- 105 heddles
- boat shuttle
- 6 4" bobbins or fewer if bobbins are longer
Our scarf is shown using Harrisville Shetland in Lime for the warp and Zauberball #1702 for the weft. If you would like these colors, simply order the kit above. If you would like to choose your own colors, please see our Shetland and Zauberball pages to view the options. Then return to this page, order the kit, and tell us your color choices in the box above.
