In this variation, two woven layers are formed but in addition, blocks of threads of the second layer can float over and under blocks of the first layer. The book gives hundreds of drafts, with color photos of both front and back of each fabric. There are a few drafts using three or four harnesses and some for eight, but must are for 12 harnesses or more.
