This weaving class is designed for those who have threaded a 4-harness loom, can follow a draft, and weave independently.

DOUBLE WEAVE BLANKET

August 23-25 Saturday-Monday 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 3 days

Learn to maximize your loom width by weaving a double-wide blanket. We have several nice choices in chunky weight yarns that will look great in either a plaid or striped edge design. We will wind the warps and have your loom ready to dress on the first day of class. You will thread your loom and weave a blanket with finished dimensions of 45" x 70". Materials not included in class fee; you will need to purchase your project yarn at least 3 weeks prior to class. No refunds or store credit for cancellations after Aug. 9 unless we find a replacement for you. By Bea Bonanno.

Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order it online. Just be sure to include a message that we should hold the yarn at the store to pick up during class.

Class supply list:

• Approximately 2500-2550 yards of worsted/heavy worsted/chunky weight yarn. Yardage is approximate as your weft beat and the order you choose to weave your colors may alter the total yardage needed.
• A full list of recommended yarns gets emailed when you enroll in class. We recommend Cascade Eco-Wool or Brown Sheep Lana Boucle.
• Two boat shuttles (we recommend 15" boat shuttles for fewer ends to finish)
• 4-6 bobbins (6" bobbins go with 15" shuttle)
• Blunt large eye tapestry needle
• GOOD SCISSORS
• Tape measure

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
