There is something very kitchen-y about towels with stripes and checks. These towels take advantage of fun effects that happen when you change colors in a regular sequence while you are weaving a twill-based structure. The yarn is 8/2 Cottolin, which is 60% organic cotton and 40% linen. It is absorbent and, sett at 20 epi, makes a classic towel fabric. The kit makes three hemmed towels with finished dimensions of approximately 17" x 22.5". They can be machine washed and dried.

You will need:

• 1 tube each of two colors of 8/2 Cottolin
• 18.3" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 10-dent reed
• 366 heddles
• 2 boat shuttles
• 2 bobbins
• needle and thread or a sewing machine for hemming

We used 8/2 Cottolin colors 0101 Bleached and 1510 Turquoise.
