We like a sweater with unusual construction and Davit is just that! The front looks like a pretty shell but the back is a fun crossed design. Davit is knit in stockinette in one piece from the front shoulders down and around to the back shoulders. Short rows shape the lower back edge. Once the front and back are joined together, stitches are picked up at the armholes and worked downward for the sleeves. Davit was designed to be worn with 1-4" of ease but the wrapped back, the fit is flexible. Finished chest measurements are 33.5 (37.5, 41.5, 45, 49, 53)" and finished lengths are 19 (20, 21.5, 23.5, 25, 26)". Berroco has given this Amy Palmer design a difficulty rating of intermediate.
Davit uses Berroco's thick-and-thin spring and summer yarn called Quinoa. It is 91% cotton and 9% nylon, with irregular slubs that create a casual, pebbly texture. It is a DK weight yarn but it is knit here at a slightly looser gauge of 4 stitches per inch in stockinette. Quinoa can be machine washed on gentle and dried flat.
