Wrap yourself in daisies! But these aren't the cheery sweet kind. These daisies are a little moody, a little unpredictable. Designed by Kaffe Fassett, they are knit with somewhat somber green petals but the centers have flashes of bright pinks, oranges, and greens. Unexpected and definitely fun! The stole is knit in stockinette, with the intarsia colorwork done following a chart. Once the center panel is done, stitches are picked up along each long edge and worked in garter stitch for the edging. Finished measurements are 19.5" x 84.25".
Dark Daisy is knit using a Rowan yarn that has been a favorite for years: Felted Tweed. It is a blend of 50% Merino wool, 25% alpaca, and 25% viscose spun into a lofty yarn with a slight halo to the finished fabric. It has a soft hand and beautiful tweeded colors. Best of all, it can be machine washed and dried flat. It is a DK weight yarn that is knit at 6 stitches per inch in stockinette in this project.
The kit includes the yarn and the complete pattern book Kaffe Fassett's Winter Vintage. For this project you will also need:
- single point needles in US size 5 (OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE)
