When you are weaving with yarns dyed by Mountain Colors, you are definitely dancing with color! The warp and weft are both Mountain Colors' hand-dyed blend of 75% superwash Merino and 25% nylon--soft, supple, and radiating color. This Deb Essen design for rigid heddle weaving uses the clasped weft technique to place color where you want it and the pattern includes three suggestions of stripe placement to get you started. The warp for this project is pre-measured and chained, so you will be ready to weave more quickly. The kit makes one infinity scarf with a width of 7.5" and circumference of up to 52". It can be hand washed and dried flat.
You will need:
Don't have a rigid heddle loom and want to weave it on your floor or table loom? You can, but be preparted for a shorter scarf due to the greater loom waste on looms with harnesses. The warp length is 76" and you can expect that the shrinkage and seaming will take up about 2" so take that into account when calculating your finished length.
