The crochet class listed below is suitable for crocheters who have been actively crocheting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to crochet, but it has been a few years since you picked up a hook and yarn, please take the Introduction to Crochet class first.
Crochet Short Rows: Hope Eternal Scarf
April 14 Tue. 6-8 p.m. 4 weeks
Do you love the small scarves that are trending but only see knit options? The Hope Eternal Scarf designed by Liudmyla Hefny has the look of knitting with the ease of crochet. We will learn to identify back and front loops of the stitch, how to work a slip stitch, a yarn-over slip stitch, half-double crochet, and an extended half-double crochet. Be prepared to learn some stitch modifications that create the design and form short rows. We will start by learning how to make the stitches with a swatch and then move onto the scarf. This class is best for confident crocheters ready to learn a more complex technique.By Rebecca Cook.
Please purchase your class supplies before class. If you place an online order, be sure to include a note that you plan to pick it up on the first day of class. We will remove the shipping fee and apply your class discount.
