These towels have squares of basketweave set in a field of plain weave. The warp is 8/2 Cottolin, sett at 20 epi and striped in the basketweave area for extra impact. The weft is the same yarn and the color choice is yours: we made one towel with multi-colored stripes and three solid towels but you can play around with the striping and colorblock effects. The kit makes four hemmed towels with finished dimensions of approximately 23" x 17". They can be machine washed and dried.

You will need:

• 8/2 Cottolin: 1 tube each of 5 colors
• 19.5" weaving width
• 6 harnesses
• 10-dent reed
• 388 heddles
• 1 boat shuttle
• 5 bobbins
• needle and thread or a sewing machine for hemming

We used 8/2 Cottolin colors 0101 Bleached, 5214 Magenta, 1430 Dark Orange, 0431 Dark Yellow, and 1510 Turquoise.
