At first glance, this Kim Hargreaves design looks like a granny square shawl. With a little closer inspection, you will see that the motifs are flower-shaped, and quite light and open. Each square incorporates three colors in its five rounds. Make 100 of them, join them together, and you have a beautiful shawl that is suitable for almost all year round. The motifs are worked from written instructions, not a chart. The finished measurements are approximately 17" x 70". The shawl can be hand washed and dried flat.

The kit includes the Rowan pattern book Kid Silk Haze Reimagined and the yarn. You will also need:

• crochet hook in US size D3 (OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE)
• tapestry needle
