This traditional coverlet pattern has gone by many names, including Snails' Trails, Wandering Vine, and Cat's Track. Here, it is rendered in Atwater-Bronson lace, with the lace forming the background and areas of plain weave creating the pattern. It is woven in Alpaca Silk sett at 20 epi. The yarn is a blend of 80% alpaca and 20% silk. The spin is lofty, for a light yarn that is surprisingly warm and has a hint of shine from the silk. The kit makes one stole with finished dimensions of approximately 24" x 87" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and dried flat, with a brief fluff in the dryer.
