Cascade 220 Superwash Wave
This is the machine washable version of classic Cascade 220, but with a twist! Each of the four plies that make up the yarn is dyed separately, with gradual color changes along the length. Then these are spun together, creating a color sequence that is about 1000 yds long. No two skeins are alike as each begins and ends at a different point in this sequence. It is a great option for creating the look of multi-colored Fair Isle knitting without as much work, or just a solid sweater that gradually blends from one shade to another. Remember--this yarn has been treated so that it can be machine washed. If you are looking for a yarn that will felt, this yarn will not work for your project.
Cascade 220 Superwash Wave is one of a family of related yarns. It's sibling with solid and heathered colors is the machine-washable, non-feltable Cascade 220 Superwash. They have a handwashable, feltable cousin called Cascade 220. Pick the version that is right for your project!
Cascade 220 Superwash Wave is packaged in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind your skeins here before shipping and there is no charge for this service. However, once the skeins have been wound, they are no longer returnable. If you would like your skeins to be wound, please tell us in the box headed "Shipping Instructions" during checkout.
