By Barbara Miller with Deb Schillo. This is a recreation of the contents of Frances L. Goodrich's notebooks that documented the weaving and dyeing done by the women of rural North Carolina. These women specialized in overshot and Goodrich recorded many of the designs. The book includes photographs of drafts from her notebook pages, watercolor drawdowns of a number of the designs, recipes for natural dyeing, and computer-generated drafts of many overshot patterns.
