It is hard to imagine how plush and squishy this blanket is without having your hands on it. The weft is a large-scale mohair loop that gives a lot of volume, texture and warmth. The blanket has two different but coordinating colors of mohair for extra interest: one is variegated and one is a solid. The warp is 100% wool Lanaloft Sport, sett at 10 epi. With this much texture happening, the structure doesn't have to be complicated, so it is woven in easy and fast plain weave. Chunky twisted fringe finishes the edges. The finished measurements are 35" x 68". The blanket can be hand washed and air dried.

• Lanaloft Sport: 8 skeins; Big Loop Mohair: 2 skeins solid color and 1 skein variegated color
• 36" weaving width
• 2 harnesses
• 10 dent reed
• 360 heddles
• large boat shuttle and 2 bobbins

Our sample blanket uses Lanaloft Sport color 41 for the warp and Big Loop Mohair main color (solid) 920 Taupe with accent color (variegated) 130 Tumbleweed for the wefts.
