Need a little something to layer over a shirt or under a jacket but don't want it bunching at the elbows? Try out this nifty vest with a neck detail inspired by the mitred joints of woodworking. The sweater is worked from the bottom up in one piece, with stitches added and worked for the cap sleeves as you go. Stitches are picked up at the neck edge and worked toward the center for the geometric neck detail. Boardwalk is designed to be worn with 1-2" of ease. Finished chest measurements are 30 (32.75, 34.5, 36.5, 38.5, 41, 44.25, 48)" with finished back lengths of 20.25 (21, 21, 21.75, 22.25, 22, 22, 22)". The sweater can be hand washed and dried flat. Brooklyn Tweed has assigned this Heidi Kirrmaier design a skill level rating of 3 out of 5.
Boardwalk uses Brooklyn Tweed's fingering weight wool called Loft. Loft is a woolen-spun wool that has a soft, fuzzy texture after wet blocking and makes a warm sweater that is lightweight for its volume.
