Birds of a Feather is a hand-dyed rayon yarn with wonderful, dynamic colors and a squishy eyelash texture. It is the star of the show in this easy shawl. The warp is Birds of a Feather, sett at 12 epi. The weft is sleek Cotton 8/4, woven in speedy plain weave. The fabric is colorful, delightful to touch, and has great drape. This will be your go-to shawl for cool summer evenings or rooms that have the air conditioner blasting. The finished stole measures approximately 18.5" x 69". It can be hand washed and dried flat.

Please note: Although this stole is woven in plain weave, we don't recommend that this project be woven on a rigid heddle loom because the textured yarn doesn't go through the holes well.

You will need:

• 20" weaving width
• 2 harnesses (not a rigid heddle loom)
• 12 dent reed
• 240 heddles
• boat shuttles and bobbin
