We love the look of checkered towels but often getting that look means lots of weft color changes and tails to weave in. With this set of towels, a color-and-weave effect makes the job easier--there are only a few color changes in the weft! The warp and weft are 6/2 unmercerized cotton at 16 threads per inch. The project makes up to six towels (two each of three color sequences) measuring approximately 16" x 26". They can be machine washed and dried.

You will need:

• 1 cone each of 3 colors of 6/2 cotton
• 18" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 8-dent reed
• 284 heddles
• boat shuttle and bobbins

We used 6/2 cotton colors Red Clay, Sage, and Natural.
