Lace and overall texture combine for an elegant crocheted shawl using Berroco's Skye. It is worked lengthwise, following a 19-row repeat, with both written and charted instructions included. Once the rectangular panel is completed, edgings are worked on the two longer sides. After blocking, the shawl measures approximately 22.5 x 64". It can be hand washed and dried flat. Berroco rates this Alison Green design as requiring intermediate skill level.
Skye is a unique mix of wool for warmth and resilience, viscose for shine, yak for luxury, and nylon for strength. It is a lightweight but warm yarn and here the lace patterning makes the most of the Skye's sheen.
