Detailed Description

Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving

Nov. 9-10 (Sat.-Sun.) 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. 2 days

If you like color and texture, then weave with the rigid heddle loom.  You will learn a fast way to thread the loom and then weave a kitchen towel.  We will provide a loom to use during class, but if you bring your own loom, be sure it is complete, assembled, and in working condition with a 10-dent heddle.  You can receive a 10% discount off any rigid heddle loom if you purchase it during class.  Materials not included.  By Katie Werner.

Class supply list:

  • 1 skein of Matita.
  • 1 cone of 4/2 Ad Astra cotton in a complimenting color with Matita.
  • If bringing your own loom, it must be at least 16" wide, fully assembled and in good working condition.  You will need a 10-dent heddle, clamps, and warping peg.
  • Notebook and pen
  • GOOD SCISSORS
  • tape measure

It's best to come to class with your supplies, but you may arrive a few minutes early to purchase them before class starts.
