BEGINNING HARNESS WEAVING
May 16-17 (Sat.-Sun.) 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. 2 days
Learn all you need to know to start weaving independently on a four-harness floor loom. Warp, weft, sett, epi, ppi, draft, tie-up and more are weaving terms you will learn. You will measure your warp, thread the loom, learn to read a threading draft, and weave a sampler of several different patterns. Your project yarn can be purchased onthe first day. By Susan Bateman.
CLASS SUPPLY LIST:
1 each of 2-3 colors of 3/2 perle cotton mini cones (this will be purchased on the first day of class)
looms and equipment will be provided during class
glasses, lots of close-up work involved in weaving!
PARKING: The New Hampshire Parking Garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $1.00 to park for the whole day. Street level and basement level parking is 2-hour free parking. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
