Surely the black sheep of the family is the favorite sheep! This one is made of wool, worked with a felting needle. In this kit from Bear Creek Felting, the two types of wool fiber, felting needles, felting cushion, and glass eyes are included in the kit, as well as easy-to-follow instructions with lots of photos. The only things you need to provide are the needle and thread to sew the eyes on. The finished sheep measures approximately 4" x 4", depending on how firmly you felt it, and will take about three hours if you are new to needle felting.

With a Bear Creek kit, you are using wool from sheep that have been bred specifically for fiber that is easy to felt. The flock that produces the wool is Bear Creek's own, raised in North Dakota. The kits are assembled right there, as well, for a product that is made entirely in the US.

Please note: While the project is an easy one, the felting needles are very sharp, so this kit is not recommended for unsupervised children.
