The Atwells Cardigan has a classic V-neck shape, but it is the details that make this sweater special. The body is moss stitch, with its overall pebbly texture, and has subtle shaping at the waist. Eyelets are worked across the upper back and shoulders, as well as at the cuff and hem, for a look that is decorative without looking frilly. The body is worked in one piece from the bottom up, with the shoulders shaped using short rows. Stitches are picked up at the armholes and worked downward for the sleeves. The sleeve caps use short row shaping. Stitches are picked up and worked in garter stitch for the button band. Finished chest measurements are 33.25 (36, 39.25, 42, 45.25, 48, 51.25, 54, 57.25)" with lengths of 22 (22.25, 22.75, 23, 23.5, 23.75, 24, 24.5, 24.75)". It is intended to be worn with 2-4" of ease. It can be machine washed and dried flat. Berroco rates this Alison Green design as requiring intermediate skills.
