Update your older Kiwi wheel for its best performance! Earlier versions of Ashford's Kiwi wheel came with a traditional flyer, outfitted with fixed hooks to determine where the yarn winds onto the bobbin. If you would prefer more control over the yarn placement, you can replace your existing Kiwi single drive flyer with this sliding hook flyer. Give the thread guide a pinch to release it, then slide it to where you want the yarn to wind. Let go and it stays in place. Because you are not limited to choosing from preset hook positions, you can avoid the hill-and-valley build up on the bobbin.

The standard Kiwi sliding hook flyer unit is used with single drive sliding bobbins. It has ratios of 6, 7.5, and 10 : 1. For spinning with larger-capacity bobbins, see the Kiwi Super Flyer kit.
