Barleycorn is a structure that is often used for towels or other crisp fabrics, but using it with a soft fiber is equally appealing. The barleycorn pattern creates floats that give the surface a nice texture. Woven in Andee, a blend of 50% alpaca and 50% wool in naturally beautiful cream, this blanket is soft and warm, perfect for curling up in on a winter night. And it is fast--the warp is sett at 10 epi and woven using just one shuttle. The kit makes a throw with finished dimensions of 33" x 55" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and air dried.

• 399 heddles
• 1 boat shuttle and bobbin

The yarn in this kit comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable.
