Alpaca Lace is a very fine two-ply yarn from Henry's Attic that begs to be knitted or woven into a lacy shawl. It is soft, but not stretchy, so it works well for warp. While not like an angora or mohair, the surface has some surface fluff, adding to the warmth and volume. We used it for an experiment in crammed and spaced warp and weft and it had enough "grab" to make a satisfyingly stable scarf.
Alpaca Lace comes in a reeled hank that will need to be wound into a ball before it is used. If you would like instructions for doing this, please request them in the box headed "Shipping Instructions" during the check out process. Using a ball winder and swift will make this task easier.
