Scale can allow you to see something familiar in a new way. This scarf uses the giant yarn Burly Spun from Brown Sheep to show off a simple twill variation pattern. It is a super bulky wool yarn that here is woven at only 4 ends and 4-5 picks per inch, for a fast finish. We've also designed a matching hat using the left-over yarn from the kit. It is knit in the round using all three colors of Burly Spun in an easy ridge pattern. The finished scarf measures approximately 11.5" x 72" and the hat has a 21" circumference. They can be hand washed and air dried.

- Burly Spun: 2 skeins main color and 1 skein each of 2 accent colors
- 13.5" weaving width
- 4 harnesses
- 4- or 8-dent reed
- 54 heddles
- 1 boat shuttle and bobbins
- 16" circular needle in US size 11
- double point needles in US size 11
Our sample set uses Burly Spun 10 Cream as the main color and 115 Oatmeal and 3 Grey Heather as the accents.
