Who doesn't love a plaid? Especially this modern one that throws traditional tartan colors out the window! It is woven in plain weave and is ideal for a rigid heddle project. The yarn is one of our favorites for knitting--Rowan's Felted Tweed--but it is also wonderful for weaving. Felted Tweed is a blend of 50% Merino wool, 25% alpaca, and 25% viscose fibers with a slight fuzzy halo and a soft hand. The finished dimensions for the shawl woven on a rigid heddle loom are 14" x 92". You can also weave it on a loom with harnesses but expect your scarf to be 70-75" long. It can be hand washed and dried flat.

You will need:

• Felted Tweed: 3 sk main color, 2 sk secondary color, 1 sk each 2 accent colors
• 15" weaving width
• 10 dent rigid heddle
• 4 flat shuttles

We wove our sample in colorway Cordelia, using Felted Tweed colors 211 Black as the main color, 212 Peach as the secondary color, and accents of 218 Fjord and 161 Avocado.
