Alpaca Lace is a fine yarn made from 100% baby alpaca. Here we've used it in a 4 harness pattern that places adjacent warp threads on the same harnesses, leading to alternating smooth and puckered sections. |

| Twills in Silk |
| Try out silk with this lovely striped twill scarf--see how easy silk can be to work with. Using 2/12 silk lets you get small accent amounts. | Color Splash Scarf |
| Weave plain weave and get an almost plaid effect by using the Boku for the weft. Because you use one weft color, this is a quick project to weave. You will need a 7.5” weaving width with 4 harnesses and 8 dent reed. Finished scarf: 6” x 54”.
We will kit as shown, or you can choose your own colors. Let the yarn do the colorwork by using Boku (with Knitting Yarns>Aran/Heavy Worsted) mixed with Lamb’s Pride Worsted (Knitting Yarns>Worsted). Note your selections under "Special Instructions" on the checkout screen. |

| Resist Felting |
| RESIST FELTING? NO WAY!
In a workshop taught by Pauline Verbeek-Cowart, we learned how to utilize felting with resisted areas--and it is so easy to do! First you weave a loosely woven plain weave scarf (extra long) in Felting Pony. For our example shown, wide masking tape was placed geometrically onto the stretched out scarf. In the non-covered areas, a solution of sodium alginate was painted onto the scarf. After drying, the scarf was dipped in alum and then machine washed until felted appropriately. Rinse in a metaphos solution and, voila, you’re done. Finished scarf is 7.75” x 75”. Resist materials included in weaving kit. You will have left-overs for later use, too. This yarn is available in natural only. |
