Titicaca is an absolute delight, whether you are knitting with it or weaving. It has softness, warmth, and drape and works into light, fluffy fabrics. It is fine but strong enough for warp as long as you tension it evenly.
Holst Garn recommends the following knitting gauges and needles:
- single strand using a US 2 or 3 needle for approximately 6.25 stitches per inch
- double stranded using US 4 to 6 for approximately 5.75 stitches per inch
- single strand carried with another yarn--go up a needle size from the recommended size for the other yarn
