Detailed Description

Do you like your variegated yarns on the subtle side? Then wrap up in a scarf woven in Felted Tweed Colour. The color shifts slowly from one end of the scarf to another. The warp is 5/2 Rayon sett at 15 ends per inch. The Felted Tweed Colour weft blends wool, alpaca, and viscose for a fluffy, warm fabric that has a lot of drape. This is an 8-harness twill variation that creates a checkerboard of flat squares and puffy ones, with the opposite on the back. The kit makes one scarf with finished dimensions of 8" x 70" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and air dried, with a quick tumble in the dryer to soften the fabric.

You will need:

  • 1 cone 5/2 Rayon and 2 skeins Felted Tweed Colour
  • 9.6" weaving width
  • 8 harnesses
  • 15 or 10 dent reed
  • 141 heddles
  • boat shuttle and 2 or more bobbins

We used Rayon 5/2 in Black for the warp and Felted Tweed Colour color 22 Ripe for the weft.
