Get double the width of your loom by using doubleweave! You can weave this blanket on a 36" loom but when it is done, it is 70" wide without a seam. Using doubleweave, you weave two layers that are joined at one side. When the weaving is done, the blanket unfolds like a book. We chose two machine washable yarns for this project so it can get plenty of use and then simply be thrown in the washing machine. The variegated yarn is Marble Chunky, a 100% acrylic variegated yarn. The solid stripes are Vintage Chunky, a blend of 52% acrylic, 40% wool, and 8% nylon. The warp is sett at 8 epi per layer, for a total of 16 epi.
