The David Beater Conversion kit allows you to replace the hanging beater on the original David or David II loom with the gliding beater. The gliding beater rides forward and back on a pair of metal rods that mount on the sides of the loom, between the castle and the upright beneath the breast beam. The gliding beater moves in a straight line, rather than the arc of the swinging beater, ensuring that the reed strikes the fell line at the same angle every time for a more uniform beat. Available for the David 70 or 90.
