When you start with a yarn that has an unusal dye pattern, unique results follow. We've used Baby Blossom DK, a knitting yarn that is dyed to create a special effect in knitted fabric, as the main color in a baby blanket that has fun sparks of color. Then we added wide accent stripes in coordinating solid colors for a fun look. The warp is threaded in rosepath and woven with a simple repeat for an overall rippled surface. All three yarns used are blends of nylon and acrylic, so the blanket is easy care, stain resistant, and very soft. The kit makes a blanket that is approximately 32" x 32.5" plus fringe. It can be machine washed and dried.

You will need:

• 36" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 12 dent reed
• 425 heddles
• 1 boat shuttle and 3 bobbins
