The precision of overshot weaving is very seductive. The effort of getting the beat just right, maintaining your edges, and juggling two shuttles can be demanding but ultimately pays off with a piece that just feels so weaverly. If you haven't tried overshot before, this is a great place to start. The coasters are a manageable size and each features a single motif in the center. The warp is 8/2 unmercerized cotton sett at 20 epi. This is also the tabby weft. The pattern weft is 5/2 Perle Cotton. The kit makes 8 hemmed coasters with finished measurements of 6.5" x 7.5". The coasters can be machine washed and dried.

• 2 boat shuttles and bobbins

We wove our coasters using 8/2B cotton in 100 Natural and 5/2 Perle Cotton in 29 Old Gold.
