By Scott Norris. Inlay is a method of adding a supplementary weft to a ground cloth as it's being woven to create images or, in Scott Norris' case, words. The first section of the book covers how to weave inlay with step-by-step instructions, illustrated with good diagrams of the path the yarn takes and photographs of Norris' finished pieces. The second section tackles the issues related to translating angles and curves of letters or other images into the rigid grid of your warp and weft. The final section is a collection of nine projects to let you apply your new skills. The directions include large-scale charts for the inlay. Norris recommends 40/2 linen for the projects and provides tips for working with fine linen.
