This entry in the Best of Weaver's series focuses on summer and winter but also includes other related structures: taqueté, samitum, boulevard, and other tied unit weaves. Forty projects, drawn from 20 years of Weaver's magazine, are given, with color photographs, drafts, and complete instructions. This isn't just a project book, though. Accompanying text delves into what makes these structures what they are and how they can be used, allowing you to take the next step and start designing your own projects using these structures.

The projects include table runners, placemats, rugs, tablecloths, and garments. While a few projects are for four harnesses or can be adapted to four harnesses, the majority are 8 harnesses, with about a third of them for more than 8 harnesses. Additional treadles or a skeleton tie-up are needed for some projects.
