Double Knit Coaster

The double-knitting techniqe produces a thick fabric with two right sides. We'll knit a coaster in a two-color pattern, with the colors reversed on the opposite side. Double-knitting is great for headbands, hats, blankets, and potholders. By Mary Mortensen.

Class supply list:

• Smooth worsted weight yarn in a light color that is a wool or wool blend in two highly contrasting colors like Encore. You will need approximately 60 yards of each color.
• US 7 or 4.5 mm needles; circular or single point
• Pen or pencil
• Scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
