STAINED GLASS LOG CABIN SCARF ON THE RIGID HEDDLE LOOM

Color-and-weave with Malabrigo's Rios painted yarn and a highly contrasting solid color can create a stained-glass effect when woven in log cabin. You will need a rigid heddle loom that is at least 10" wide and you'll measure your warp, thread your rigid heddle loom using an alternating dark/light combination of colors, and weave with two shuttles. These wool yarns work up into a warm and soft scarf- - just in time for the holidays. By Katie Werner.

Class supply list:

• Minimum of 10" wide rigid heddle loom that is fully assembled and in good working condition.
• 7.5- or 8-dent heddle
• Warping peg and clamp
• Threading hook
• Two flat or stick shuttles that are at least 10" long or boat shuttle and bobbins
• Heavy paper for beaming on warp
• 1 skein each of Malabrigo Rios and Cascade 220 Superwash We recommend you choose a solid black or white in the Cascade Superwash to really accent and frame the variegated colors of the Malabrigo Rios.
• Scissors and tape measure

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
