Linen warp and tabby with a wool pattern weft are obvious choices for a traditional overshot table runner. The draft, however, taken from Weaving Designs by Bertha Gray Hayes: Miniature Overshot Patterns by Smayda, White, Brown, and Schelleng, is surprisingly dynamic. By using a thicker pattern weft than is conventional with our 33/3 Normandy Linen, we have also elongated the pattern, emphasizing the diagonals and creating an exciting accent for your table. The warp is sett at 24 epi. Finished measurements are 16" x 71". The runner can be hand washed and dried flat.
