The Schacht yardage counter can be used to measure your warp as you wind sectional warping spools, placed on your back beam to measure the warp as you are beaming, or clamped on a counter or table top anywhere you need to measure the length of a yarn. The yarn is fed through a metal eye, wraps around the large wheel, and goes back through a second metal eye. The additional contact of the large wheel reduces slippage and gives the counter more accuracy. The counter measures in yards, up to 9999, but can be special ordered to measure in meters.
